Brad Lovelace

(1970-2021)

A founding member of the Firm, Brad graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts and earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Minnesota Law School.

Brad served as the co-chair of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Trusts and Estates Section and served on the Bench-Bar Committee for the Trusts and Estates Section of the San Diego County Bar Association. Brad was active as a member of the California State Bar Association’s Conference of Delegates for several years.  Brad took pride in the fact that he was a founding member of the Probate Attorneys of San Diego.

Brad lived his life with purpose and meaning. For example, Brad served on the Board of Directors for the Alpha Project for the Homeless and he worked tirelessly for those who are disadvantaged. Brad also served as Vice President of the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation. Brad, a person of great faith, was an active member of his church, St. Paul’s Cathedral in San Diego.

Brad valiantly battled soft tissue sarcoma for eight years. He was an inspiration to all that knew him as he bravely fought his illness with dignity, unwavering optimism, and in an effort to console those who cared about him, a comforting sense of humor. Brad was a valued and important member of the Firm, and he will be deeply missed by his Goodwin Brown family.
